This is another 3D piece that I created for a challenge. The substrate is one of the second largest tags from the MDF Tag set from Clevercut and is approximately A5 size.
I gave the MDF tag a coat of Amsterdam black gesso.
Next, I added Amsterdam white modelling paste through the Tim Holtz Typo mini stencil (THMS040) in several places. Elements from the Eureka and Fix-It Pop Ems sets from Creative Expressions were then glued into place. Another coat of black gesso was then applied and allowed to dry. Amsterdam acrylic paints were used to add colour. First some of the Pewter (#815). Then a little of the Deep Gold (#803) and Napthol Red Deep (#399). For yet more texture, I added some of the Amsterdam pearl medium in areas, added a washer from the garage and broke the back off a brad which says 'Love'. I also had a glass vial filled with silvery sparkles which I added at the bottom as well as a clock charm which I had been sent in happy mail.
Further gesso was added to the pearl medium once it was dry; I had added some to the 'light' from the bulb. It only remained to add some more touches of the red and pewter paints. I have been told that I should do more 3D work. What do you think?
