This tag was created following three of the four prompts on Tag It Tuesday for March 2018. As at least two of the prompts have to be followed, I am within the permitted parameters. The prompts were: Use a sponge brush; add gears; use a black marker; 'luck'. As you can see, I used the last three!
I started by adding an off cut of a previous master board to a #8 manilla tag and trimming it to fit (see HERE for details of how the master board was created).
For the gears, I used three of the Eureka Pop-ems by Creative Expressions; the large gear comprises of an inner and outer piece. First I gave them a coat of black gesso. Next I added gilding wax in various colours to add interest and bling. The gears were glued to the tag. Next, I added the prompt word 'luck' by stamping and heat embossing it using the Word Chain Alphabet by Claritystamp (Black Onyx Versafine ink and detail clear powder). Before adding the rest of the quote (printed onto plastic using my Dymo Letratag), I added further gears. For this I worked with a mini Tim Holtz layering stencil (THMS052) and a black Faber-Castell Pitt Artist brush pen.
