Floral Tag with Die Cut Foil
There is a new format for the challenges over on Tag It Tuesday this year. There are four techniques, of which two are the minimum and two colours of which one must be used. This month’s techniques are: Add aluminium foil, use a white crayon to resist ink, add paint using the edge of a card to make lines, add a piece of fabric. This month’s colours are blue and Forest Green. I used both colours and three of the techniques.I started by adding the top layer of a piece of paper towel with Forest Moss and Fossilized Amber ink on it to a #8 manilla tag, sealed it with matte medium and dried thoroughly. Next, I tore off a second layer and added it in the same way at the top.Next, I added flower stems and grass using Olive Green Light and Permanent Green Light Amsterdam acrylic paint and the edge of an old season card. For one of the flower heads, I used the smallest Heart Blossom Picot Flower die to cut aluminium foil. I also cut a couple of the smallest Stellar Blooms Picot Flowers in the same way. I added alcohol inks (Indigo and Sail Boat Blue) to the foil. To attach the flower heads to the tag, I used double sided tape behind the centres only.Fabric flowers were added to the centre of each foil flower using brads. To finish, I added several of Barbara’s Word stickers.

Feel Good Tag
I had fun with the November challenge over on Tag It Tuesday. The four prompts were: Use something from another hobby, shade an area with straight lines, add pearls and add a flower. As reading is one of my hobbies, I added book text to a #8 manilla tag to create a background. This was dried and trimmed. (Prompt 1)Next, I stamped Tina’s Floral Poppy spray onto the tag in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This covers prompt 2 and 4 as there are straight lines shading the poppies. Laying the coordinating stencil over the top of the stamping, I added colour to the flowers and leaves with Distress Oxides (Candied Apple, Peeled Paint and Blueprint Sketch). To fulfil prompt 3, I added a black pearl to the centre of each of the larger poppies. To create a vignette, I blended weathered Wood Distress ink around the image and the edges of the tag. To finish, I added one of Barbara’s Feel Good Factor Stickers.

Glitter Birds on Floral Spray Tag
I couldn't resist using some of the birds from the Birds and Flower Rows stamp set on this tag for the October challenge on Tag It Tuesday. The four prompts were
1) Add sewing or embroidery thread or fibres; 2) Fussy Cut and attach something; 3) Green; 4) Add glitter. As you will see, I used all four.I started by adding the top layer of a paper towel that had been used to mop up ink to a #8 manilla tag. I used matte medium to glue and seal the paper towel and then dried thoroughly and trimmed the excess. The ink was mostly green so that fulfils prompt 3. Next, I stamped the Clarity bird row onto book paper in Sepia Versafine ink and glued it to some stencil card. I fussy cut the birds ready to add to the tag (prompt 2). Using a stamp platform and Onyx Black Versafine ink, I added Tina’s original Floral Spray to the tag. Three of the fussy cut birds were then added. To fulfil prompt 1, I added some French knots to the small flowers at the bottom using Madeira metallic thread. I added some hot pink glitter to the birds to go with the French knots, fulfilling prompt 4. To finish, I added one of Leonie’s word stickers.

Man's Best Friend: A Tag
My latest contribution to the Tag It Tuesday challenge. The four prompts for September are: 1) Collage with your wipe up paper towels and/or baby wipes. 2) Add a paper clip. 3) Build up texture with a palette knife and any medium. 4) Add a dog image. I included prompts 1,2 and 4.I started by adding the top layer of a paper towel that had been used to clean up stencils to a #8 manilla tag. I used matte medium to glue and seal the paper towel and then dried thoroughly and trimmed the excess.(Prompt 1)
Next, I stamped the Labradors (Clarity NDC #124) in Pinecone Versafine Clair and heat embossed with clear powder. (Prompt 4)
I used Faber-Castell Big brush markers blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nibs to add shading to the image. For prompt 2, I die cut a paperclip from black pearlescent card using one of the XCut dies. I also die cut a notice out of Clarity stencil card using the 2.5” nested square die. I added a little Old Paper Distress Ink around the edges of the notice and used the Clarity Tall Letterbox Infill stamps to add Man’s Best Friend in Pinecone Versafine Clair. To finish, I added the die cut paper clip to the notice and glued the whole thing to the tag.

Catch A Falling Star: A Tag
This is a very belated attempt at the July challenge over on Tag It Tuesday. The four prompts were 1) Use a stamp in at least three places, 2) Use something you print, 3) Add a pocket and 4) Add aluminium foil. As you can see, I managed to fit all four prompts onto my tag.
For prompt 2 I added some printed book text from Romanian play onto a #8 manilla tag, sealed it with matte medium, dried and trimmed the edges.
Next, I gave it a coat of white gesso to knock the text into the background.
For prompt 4 I used the largest Clarity nested oval picot die with aluminium foil and added it to the left side of the tag, trimming the excess.
To create a pocket for prompt 3, I stamped the Clarity New Design Club stamp #91 onto a piece of stencil card in Twilight Versafine Clair ink.
I gave the pocket a denim look by colouring it with Faber-Castell Polychromos (143, 144,151, 247).
Next, I fussy cut the pocket and added it to the bottom of the tag.
Having used a stamp once, I stamped twice more (prompt 1) using the star stamp from the Dee's Friends Patience A5 stamp set in Golden Meadow Versafine Clair ink.
Then I coloured the stars and the button on the pocket using Faber-Castell Polychromos (185, 184).
I added the word 'star' using Word Chains 11. Stamping in Twilight Versafine Clair ink and heat embossing with clear powder.
I added the first part of the quote using my Dymo Letratag.
To finish, I added some details with a dark blue fine liner and some alcohol ink to the aluminium foil to give it more of the feel of a moon.
