Man's Best Friend: A Tag

My latest contribution to the Tag It Tuesday challenge.  The four prompts for September are: 1) Collage with your wipe up paper towels and/or baby wipes. 2) Add a paper clip. 3) Build up texture with a palette knife and any medium. 4) Add a dog image. I included prompts 1,2 and 4.

I started by adding the top layer of a paper towel that had been used to clean up stencils to a #8 manilla tag. I used matte medium to glue and seal the paper towel and then dried thoroughly and trimmed the excess.(Prompt 1)

Next, I stamped the Labradors (Clarity NDC #124) in Pinecone Versafine Clair and heat embossed with clear powder. (Prompt 4)

I used Faber-Castell Big brush markers blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nibs to add shading to the image.

For prompt 2, I die cut a paperclip from black pearlescent card using one of the XCut dies.

I also die cut a notice out of Clarity stencil card using the 2.5” nested square die. I added a little Old Paper Distress Ink around the edges of the notice and used the Clarity Tall Letterbox Infill stamps to add Man’s Best Friend in Pinecone Versafine Clair.

To finish, I added the die cut paper clip to the notice and glued the whole thing to the tag.
