Steampunk Journal Page

I seem to be permanently a month behind with the Mission Inspiration main missions.  This follows the September Steampunk theme and prompts.  The colours were Navy, Crimson and Sage and the choice of words was Gears, Invention, Clockwork, Mesh and Patina.

Add Amsterdam transparent gesso to the handmade paper pages in a journal and allow to dry. Blend Chipped Sapphire Distress Paint over the background and dry thoroughly.

Add Bundled Sage Distress paint through the Clarity Chain Link and Chain Link Fence stencils in several places.

Using the Spellbinders, Joycrafts and XCut cog dies, cut various pieces from Clarity stencil card.

Using foam tools, pounce Adirondack Cranberry ink, Distress Bundled Sage and Distress Chipped Sapphire inks over the die cuts.

Add clear embossing powder over the partially dried ink and heat to create a patchy effect. Add the cogs to the pages.

Add one of the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls.

Add stamping in Cranberry ink using the Cogs and Clocks stamp set from Clarity.

To finish, add three of Leonie’s word stickers and tint them in Cranberry/Bundled Sage ink.
