Birds and Flower Row Rice Paper on Canvas Board

I have used this technique previously.  I love how the stamping creates a rich background when the rice paper is added to a canvas board with matte medium.

Stamp the flowers from the Bird & Flower Rows set onto rice paper. Ink up using Ecoline pens in shades of blue and green.

Attach the rice paper to a 6” x 6” canvas board using gel medium – this allows the colours to run. Dry thoroughly.

Glue old book text to a piece of Clarity stencil card.

Stamp the row of birds onto it in Coffee Archival ink.

Fussy cut round the birds and branch. Add brown ink along the bottom edge of the branch.

Add the branch and birds to the canvas and trim the ends.

To finish, Die cut the Thank You from the Floral Frame set of the same name from dark brown card and add it to the canvas below the branch.
