Autumn Leaves: An Art Journal Page

I made this journal spread last year for a challenge over on Junk Journals and Mindful Mixed Media Art .  I feel that it fits one of the October Missions over on Mission Inspiration so decided to share it again.  The theme was Autumn Leaves, the suggested colours red, orange and yellow and the prompt words Leaves, Acorns, Sunset, Wind and Rain.
Cover a double page spread in transparent gesso and dry thoroughly. Add Tea Dye, Gathered Twigs and Frayed Burlap Distress paints liberally over both pages and blend out. Dry thoroughly.
Add Sepia Archival ink through one of the Clarity petite leaf stencils. Cover both pages.
Blend Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon Distress paints. Pounce through the Clarity Maple Leaves stencil using a foam blending tool. Add leaves to both pages.
Add three leaves from the NDSC #46 stencil by pouncing Tarnished Brass Distress paint through the stencil.
Fussy cut a magazine clipping of a boot. Add it to the page, sealing with Distress Collage medium.
When dry add shading with Faber-Castel Big Brush markers blended out with a finger.
Die cut the #8 NDDC leaf aperture from a range of orange, rose gold, kraft, and gold card as well as offcuts of autumnal coloured Clarity designer papers.

Cut out as many individual leaves as possible ad add along the bottom of the page. Add three further maple leaves by pouncing metal leaf glue through the same stencil as before, adding metal flakes and burnishing.

Add ‘kicking’ using wooden letters glued into place with acrylic glue.
To finish, print the rest of the sentiment using the large font on a Dymo Letratag and clear plastic tape. Add to the left hand page.
