Oxides, Ecolines, Crazy Cats and Birds: An Art Journal Page

This is the final page that I created for the March prompt over on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More: Friendship.  I feel that my quote fits all the different creative groups that I am part of.
I started by creating my focal points using the Crazy Cats and the Mini Bird Crazy stamps and coordinating dies (designed by Tim Holtz for Stampers' Anonymous/Sizzix).  They were stamped in Jet black Archival ink onto mixed media card and coloured in using my Royal Talens Ecoline water colour brush pens - which are now available in 59 gorgeous colours plus a blender pen.
For the background, I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral and a little Candied Apple Distress Oxides onto a piece of mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm).  The background was given a light spritz with water and dried thoroughly.
To add interest, I used one of the stamps from the Mixed Media set (Stampers' Anonymous/Tim Holtz) and stamped all over the page in various shades of yellow Archival ink (Saffron, Dandelion and Chrome Yellow).  I used Tea Rose and Bright Tangelo at the bottom.
Using the same colour archival inks, I went back over the top part of the page using the Christmas Carol script stamp by Paula Pascual, then over the bottom of the page using the XXL Finger Print background stamp by Bee Crafty.
The crazy focal points were then added.
All my friendship journal pages for March have had the word 'friends' stamped using the Word Chain Alphabet by Claritystamp.  For this page I used Versamark ink and heat embossed using detail black embossing powder.
The remainder of my sentiment "Some friends blend in; other friends STAND out, but we all create together." was added using stickers from the Chit Chat sticker book (Tim Holtz idea-ology).  Any words which I didn't have were printed onto clear plastic using my Dymo Letratag.
