Quick and Colourful Recycled Art Journal Page

This is my final art journal page for the February prompt on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More (Week 8).  Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle has been one of my favourite prompts so far!
I started by adhering a paper towel mop up sheet onto a piece of mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm), sealing it with distress collage medium, drying thoroughly and trimming all round.
The quote was one that I received in recent happy mail, it had been stamped and heat embossed.  I found some offcuts of a background sheet that I had made for a Christmas card last year (see HERE) and matted the quote panel onto it; going all round the edge of the mat with a Royal Talens Ecoline pen in Blue Violet to cover the white edges.
Three strips of the same left over background were edged with the same Blue Violet pen, added to the page, trimmed and the outer end coloured.
The sentiment panel was then added, both covering the inner ends of the strips and the blemish in the paper towel background.
Apart from going round the edges of the whole page in the same Ecoline pen, I decided this page was finished, as the quote and the background in conjunction say it all.
