WOYWW 624: 12 Years and Still Going Strong

Welcome to my contribution to the 12th anniversary edition of WOYWW and many congratulations to Julia at Stamping Ground for coming up with the idea so many years ago and keeping things going.  Please do join in with the celebrations over at home base.

As you can see, my desk is not much different to usual.  My sketchbook is centre stage ready for my #drawingaday.  I have actually made an ATC for my PIF (hope everyone is sitting down with that news).  I haven't got a postcard yet but intend to source one tomorrow.  I am hoping that we may be able to have an in person crop later in the year and I will have lots of tags ready for swapping at that point.

Here are the latest drawings.  I am afraid that there is no-one on the other side of the desk to show.  I was busy making samples all day and Eva had too much to do for work.
I had happy mail yesterday morning.  At the bottom is a lovely postcard from LLJ.  The photo at the top is one I found of a Dalek costume that I had ten days notice to make when #1 son was in the Nursery class at school.  How he has survived to 28 I will never know lol.  Happy WOYWW 12th anniversary everyone and I'll be over to visit in the morning.

Good morning Sarah
Happy WOYWW anniversary.
I love looking at your blog, always so much evidence of arty activity, I envy such skill at drawing, my ability in drawing is absolutely rubbish.
Love the Dalek costume, I used to love doing fancy dress for my girls when they were young, but don't think I have any pictures, which is a shame.
Bless you for sharing

Oh wow, that Dalek is amazing!! (Now there’s a sentence I didn’t think I’d be typing this morning, lol!!) Clever you, it must have taken a lot of work and what a good idea to photograph it. Love the daily drawings still and of course it had to be Enterprise for the Ship prompt, I’d have been disappointed if it hadn’t, though the Red Dwarf might have been a good, if obscure, candidate too!
Happy 12th
Hugs LLJ 3 xxx

Bet you are glad son no 1 did not go off to be a Dalek all those years ago. What a fabulous costume you made.
Love your drawings as usual you have come up with some great ideas/inspiration.
Guess I had better get a tag made for the crop when it happens.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Hi Sarah,
Lovely drawings as ever, but my favourite is still the one of the potbanks. You should show that to the Gladstone.
I had to zoom in as I was sure I saw a Dalek! Great costume!
Thanks for your kind comments earlier
Take care and happy WOYWW anniversary

Lovely drawings, and I especially like the signpost one, such clever perspectives. I'm impressed with the dalek costume, I would not have known where to start on making one but it's incredibly realistic.

Goodness that's a brilliant costume, especially with so little time! I'm definitely looking forward to saying hello in real life to people again. The dizziness is really odd as I can move my head around fine etc (had labyrinthitis before and that really SUCKS!) It looks like BP dropping but it's not, other funny stuff going on too, been checked for all the normal culprits so now waiting on an ultra-sound... what fun... Anyway, happy anniversary! Hi, Sarah!

Happy Anniversary! What a wonderful little community, isn't it.
(although, I think your desk is much too tidy..:)

Stay safe and well. Don't work too hard. Will you be traveling with students later this summer?

Happy Wednesday!

On checking seems as if my comments have gone awol. I would hate not to comment on such an auspicious occasion as today.
Happy Anniversary!
Love your daily drawings and I love that \Dalek costume you once made - clever girl!

Some of those more abstract drawing prompts would have stumped me! I love your interpretation of "outside". The Dalek costume looks fantastic - I dressed up as a robot in primary school once but it wasn't anything as cool as that - it was just a square cardboard box LOL. Happy anniversary! Hope you and Eva can get back to creating together soon! xx zsuzsa #17

Oh Sarah, it was a great day for us Deskers when you found us...I remember your first crop in Llandudno and how we nearly missed out on meeting you because of the football calendar! I look forward to the calm and sanity of your desk and your output, but I do have to say that reading that you’ve made an ATC for the swap really does remind me that we aren’t quite back to normality yet!!

Hello Sarah ... thanks for popping by my blog yesterday and for your very kind comments. I love seeing your daily drawings on FB! Your dalek costume is wonderful but brings back too many memories of making costumes for school plays ... just me and one other lady used to make around 80-100 costumes between us each year for the school play and it was quite a marathon ... collapsed in a heap one year at the end of it all - luckily just made it home after closing night, got out of the Land Rover and collapsed in a heap on the drive. Thank goodness my days of sticking pins into children are long over! Happy 12th WOYWW. Love from Debbie xXx

Hi Sarah, happy 12th Anniversary, here's to the next 12 years! I remember making costumes for my girls - generally I had lots of notice. It was more my sister who sprang it on me last minute that my niece needed a fancy dress outfit! Thankfully all grown up now, or maybe it will start again now with my grandchildren! Your drawings are great as always. I wish my desk looked as organised as yours. It will start off well after I've decorated but will soon end up as a dumping ground. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #20

Sarah, as usual, I'm loving the sketches this week!! I'm partial to the "Belief" and "Handmade" drawings!! But you always seem to come up with great sketching ideas!!! WOW that costume you made is pretty snazzy!!! I bet it took a minute to make that guy and all for "nursery" school!! I hope he got a gold star for that one! LOLOL Happy 12th and many blessings to you Sarah! Felicia #34

Love the drawings, Sarah - my favourite one this week has to be "ship" because I'm a Star Trek fan!! I love the Dalek costume too - I'd be more worried about whether you survived than your son haha - "Exterminate! Exterminate!"

Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes for Monday. If you haven't already, pop over to Lynnecrafts - she's got a hilarious take on a mammogram in her "And Finally" section! I think I'll print it out and take it in to the hospital with me! So glad you like the kitty throw - my hubby absolutely loves it. I hope your inspection goes OK on Monday.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Happy 12th Anniversary! Sorry I'm so late, the days just get away from me somehow. Thank you for your visit to mine, and for all the congrats about the new Grandbaby. She is so cute, and already giving her Mama all sorts of trouble (well, she's a Taurus!) What a great costume! I recognized it immediately! Lately hubby and I have become Dr. Who fans. My fav drawing this week has to be the Starship Enterprise! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #36
