Grunge Butterfly Frame

I created a frame to match the colours of the butterfly on this clean and simple card.
Die cut a topper from Clarity stencil card using the 6” x 5” nested rectangle die. Cut a mat from black card using the 6.25” x 5.25” nested rectangle picot die.
Stamp one of the large Cherry Green’s Butterflies from set two onto the topper in Watering Can Archival ink and mask it up.
Add stamping into the background in the same ink plus Shadow Grey Archival ink using stamps from the Art and Calm Grunge sets. Remove the mask.
Colour the butterfly using Faber-Castell Polychromos.
Add a sentiment using the ticker tape Keep Calm and carry on stamp in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.
Trim a 7” x 7” white card blank to 7” x 6”. Stamp round the edges using the same grunge stamps as before, but this time in Peeled paint, Mustard Seed and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides to match the colours of the butterfly.
To finish, mat up the topper and add it to the front of the card blank.
