Illustrated Poem on Designer Card

This time I decided to use some of the Feathered Friends Miniatures stamps to illustrate one of the poem stamps using designer card in the background.

Trim a piece of Indian Summer Designer card to 4.75” x 6.75”. Add the three largest Moorhens from the Feathered Friends Miniatures set along the bottom in Versamark ink. Heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Add the branch from the same set at the top in the same way.

Add the WH Davies poem from The Finest Music Poetry Verses in the same way in the centre of the topper.

Add further branches in Paradise Teal Archival ink along the top and sides of the topper.

Add one of the Wee Foliage stamps along the bottom in Vivid Chartreuse Archival ink. Then add colour to the Moorhens using one of the Faber-Castell Polychromos (#153).

To finish, trim a 7” x 7” white card blank to 7” x 5”. Mat the topper onto black card leaving a narrow border and add it to the front.
