Hugs & Kisses: A Romantic Card

The different backdrop stamps are so versatile and work especially well with Distress Oxides if you want to lift some ink before stamping them.  Here I used one of the heart backdrop stamps to create a romantic card.

Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 5.75” x 5.75”. Blend Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide onto the small Heart backdrop stamp using a foam tool. Lift some of the ink using the large netting stamp from the Calm Grunge stamp set and add the heart to the stencil card.

Create a mask for the heart using one of the mask blanks and mask up the first image. Repeat the process, adding a second heart to the stencil card. Remove the mask.

Add the kissing couple from Wee Folk 1 in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Add further stamping into each corner using the netting stamp in the same colours of Oxide as before.

Add Hugs & Kisses in the same ink using Word Chain 15.

To finish, add the topper to a 6” x 6” black card blank.
