I made this piece of art work/card for a good friend whose birthday is today. As I have been unable to get it to her, she will have to have a virtual version until it is safe to deliver it.
Add white gesso to a 6” x 6” piece of grey board.
Using Clarity New Design Stencil Club #68, drag DecoArt modelling paste through the stencil in the top left. Allow to dry naturally.
Add Spun Sugar Distress Oxide spray.
Add Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Spray. Add Wilted Violet Distress Oxide spray, spritz with water and allow to drip down the board.
Add a little more Spun Sugar Distress Oxide spray and some Picked Raspberry. Spritz with water and allow to run again, this time tipping the board towards the bottom right corner. Dry thoroughly.
Add Spun Sugar, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxides through the same stencil as before (NDSC #68).
Add Amethyst and Graceful pink gilding wax over the modelling paste.
Using the entwined sentiments from Claritystamp, add ‘With Love & Best Wishes’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat emboss with clear powder.
Add the Eiffel Tower from the Sketchy Fashion stamp set (discontinued) in the same manner.
Add further stamping in Magenta Hue Archival ink using the pattern stamp that comes with Douglas (Claritystamp).
Add highlights with a pink Derwent Inktense pencil and blend with a watercolour brush pen.
To finish, add further highlights with a white gel pen.
