Barbara Gray will be demonstrating this new configuration of Clarity stamps this afternoon between 2 and 4pm on Hochanda. This is the first sample that I made with them. I wanted a Spring like fresh look.
Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 6.5” x 6.5” and stamp the bird feeder onto it in Onyx Black Versafine ink.
Add the small garden birds in the same manner. Mask off the birds. Mask off either side of a section of the card leaving a 6cm aperture down the page. Add clouds using the Clouds mask and Wild Bilberry Artistry ink on a large Clarity stencil brush. Move the mask down the aperture alternating edges of the mask and brush the ink upwards off the mask each time. Remove the right hand mask and add the small cherry blossom branch at the top in the same ink as before. Remove all masks. Colour the birds, branch and bird-feeder using water colour pencils blended out with a watercolour brush pen. Add a line both sides of the aperture using a Sakura micron pen and draw a ‘string’ to attach the bird feeder to the branch. Mat the stencil card onto black paper leaving a very narrow border and add to the front of a 7”x 7” white card blank. To finish, add one of Barbara’s word stickers.
