Decorating a Plain Cotton Shopping Bag with Stencil and Stamps

Having bought some plain cotton shopping bags in a sale recently, I decided to jazz one of them up using the Cherry Green heart Doodleology stencil and some of the matching stamps.
Iron a plain cotton bag. Place copy paper inside the bag and mask off a 7cm strip across the full width of the bag.
Add the Doodleology Heart stencil length ways into the space between the masking tape starting at the left hand side.
Pounce Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide through the stencil using a foam tool.
Move the stencil along and repeat.
Continue until the strip is fully stencilled. Remove the top strip of masking tape.
Stamp the long stemmed stamp from the matching stamp set over the stencil joins in Onyx Black Versafine ink. Add further stamping in the same manner.
Add the small doodle heart stamp over the stencilling in the same manner.
To finish, remove the bottom strip of masking tape, lay further copy paper over the top of the pattern and heat set the ink with a hot iron.

I love this. I’ve got one of these bags somewhere and when I find it I’m going to give this a try. Thank you for the idea
