Meme Girl Art Journal Page

In keeping with my new year's resolution to join in with a few more monthly challenges, here is my offering for the January prompts over on Mixed Media Art Journey. Six prompts determined by the roll of dice: hide a secret, make a spread (2 pages), use red, add a face, meme, use something recycled.

Hide a secret by covering up a first effort at Inktober back in 2018.
Use a piece of copy paper that had been used to clean up red ink/paint off a brayer (something recycled). Rip it in half and add a piece to each page of a two page spread in a Strathmore art journal. Seal each page with matte medium.
Add further red by stamping the cross hatch design from the Mixed Media Journal stamp set from Claritystamp all over the pages in Red Geranium Archival ink to add an impression of texture.
Stamp A4 Honour from the Dee’s New Friends collection onto stencil card in Antique Linen Distress Oxide.
Use water colour pencils blended out with a water brush to colour the image.
Fussy cut the image and add it to the right hand page (add a face). Seal the image with matte medium and dry thoroughly.
Use Faber-Castell big Brush markers to add shading around the image, blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
To finish, stamp three of Leonie’s sayings (#whatever #ohjoy, #seriously) all over the opposite page and around Honour in Onyx Black Versafine ink (Meme).
