WOYWW 521: Packing for the Crop

For once I am packing light for the up coming WOYWW anniversary crop on Saturday.  Thanks to the leadership of Julia, ably assisted by LLJ, we will be celebrating 10 years of desk sharing via The Stamping Ground this time.  I have decided that, other than a load of tags for swapping and a decent raffle prize, I will only be taking a colouring book, coloured pencils and my pencil blending pens.  For those who don't believe it possible, I have taken a photo of my bag packed and ready to go.
My actual desk is once again full of projects that cannot yet be shared.  I can show you two of the colours that I am working with for one of the projects though.  The two colours together create a close approximation to Peacock Feathers distress ink.
I can also share some sneaky peeks of my samples for Leonie's shows on Friday at 8am and 12pm.
Looking forward to catching up with lots of fellow deskers on Saturday and of course, cake!

I would never have believed it Sarah!!! You could always stamp stuff out to colour too!

First of all you are late this morning - I was beginning to think you were not going to post. I had fingers crossed you weren't ill or anything.
NO, I cannot believe you have packed so light. Sarah, you normally take loads of journals and things. One must remember that you have thirty or so tags in that bag to begin with so they obviously take up room. Well done!
See you Saturday
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Think you might only need a light clothes bag as well Sarah. It is going to be hot at the weekend. Have a great time, probably be a lot of chatting. xx

I would imagine that there will be a lot of chatting rather than crafting as you don't actually see each other very often. Hope you all have a fantastic time.

You're very sensible not taking tou much cos as we all know, not much gets done!! I'm taking some crochet but if a single stitch gets hooked, I'll be amazed!
Looking forward to seeing you again.

Hi Sarah, love the peek at the samples. Not sure I'll be packing light, I always take far more than I use! lol. Do like those inkpad colours, but must resist- I have more than any sensible person needs as it is. See you Saturday, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 X

Well I'm packed very light cos with all the sewing/ baking/ prepping to be ready for Saturday I've forgotten to sort out something to actually craft....hehehe who am I kidding? There wont be time for crafting too!
See you very soon.

Looks like you're ready to roll! So well organised! I swung the idea of a day trip to Shrewsbury by my family - they didn't say 'no' outright, so that's a good sign. If we go, it will be some time in the afternoon between 2-3 pm, literally just to say hello and then onto some sightseeing. It would be so lovely to meet everyone, but I can't promise. Thanks for your visit - love the sneak peeks! zsuzsa #23

Ooh Sarah, those colours are gorgeous, I have a weakness for peacock colours - I'm very much looking forward to seeing your project. I love the samples, they look very interesting and the colours and patterns are very eye-catching - can anyone see them on the show, is it a Youtube thing or FB thing - sorry I'm showing my ignorance, but you've captured my interest with your sneaky peaks!
Hope you have a great time at the crop - I'm sure between chatting and eating cake there won't be much crafting done!

Goodness, Sarah, you are packing light. I know you will have fun and I hope you take all kinds of photos, too.

I haven't yet received your PIF ATC, but promise to let you know when it arrives. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Hi again Sarah. Did you go to Crop in Llandudno? I was sure we'd met there. Unless I'm confused. Could be lol x

Hi Sarah, The sneak peeks are interesting.

Those colours are scrummy· I am hoping to get my flat decorated this year and Peacock colours would be fab.

I think you have the right idea to travel light for the crop, as I bet there won;t be that much crafting going on:)

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

Sounds sensible not to take too much to the crop then you wont feel guilty when you bring it all back not having used it Lol! However, I know you will have a great time and wish I could be there with you all. Happy woyww and thanks for the lovely comment over at mine. Angela x17x

Thanks very much for the information Sarah, it sounds so interesting and it must be exciting to see your lovely samples on TV - I haven't seen Hochanda before and we don't have Sky but I shall certainly look for it on Freeview or follow your link online - thank you for that.

saw this at lunchtime but couldn't comment from the phone.. that IS light travelling! I figure I may as well fill the case, it's on wheels and I can drag it behind me!! at least it's meant to be fairly warm so won't need thick jumpers! See you Saturday. Helen #3

Love the Ancestry Ink colours - I got two boxes of their mini Inks free with a magazine subscription - not used them much yet, so looking forward to seeing what you made. Thanks for stopping by earlier- our visitor was kist unexpected, I do hope he comes back! I'm really looking forward to the Crop. See you there! Have a lovely week Heather xx #11

I am just packing my parchment travelling bag (a shopping trolley) but as I am still using it, that won't be done till Friday evening. I am taking the starter kit for others to try if they wish. Looking forward to the get together. xxx

Hi Sarah, well that looks like a smart thing to me but, when I used to go to crops. ( I never made a single thing) I spent all my free time oohing and awwing over everyone else' stuffs or just listening to the chatter. So, I hope you have fun. ~Stacy #27

I should imagine that at those gatherings, much more chat goes on than crafting lol lol! I am sure you will be able to do some colouring, though. Hope you have a great time, whatever you all do! Thank you for your lovely comment. Even before the increments on my pension because I applied late, the basic rate I'm getting is bigger than my hubby's. I told him again today that he must phone up and check it out. Thanks for the good wishes for all our celebrations, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video - I've watched it several times and roar with laughter every time!! My favourite bit has to be when he's trying to open the door!

Happy WOYWW,

Don't worry about packing light for Maggie will more than make up for it ... just leave her plenty of room for the kitchen sink! I love that blue and green together - quite one of my favourite combinations and one I use way too often. Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday - somehow the day sort of slipped away from me. Please don't worry about sending back an ATC from the crop ... you are very welcome to one of mine no matter what. love to you from Debbie xXx

Hi Sarah - Couldn't comment earlier as I spent Wednesday lying prone on the settee feeling VERY rough - however... here I am now.
I love those two colours - fantastic - looking forward to seeing what you did with them!! Maybe I'll get to see things on TV tomorrow - if I'm not rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off getting ready for an invasion of visitors!!
I'm most impressed with your packing. I've packed my ATCs, things for the raffles, and some crochet "in case talking gets quiet"!!!
Take care. God bless.
See you Saturday.
