A delicate Birthday Card in shades of Aqua and Teal

A delicate mixture of stencilling and stamping using matching sets of Alliums from Clarity was used in the making of this card.  I chose shades of teal and aqua so it could be given to a male or female.
Add the large Alliums stencil to a piece of 7” x 7” stencil card. Brush Morning Dew and then Aqua Fusion Artistry inks over the stencil, brushing in all directions.

Go round the outline with an 01 Sakura micron pen, remove the stencil and add further doodle lines around the edges and on the stems.
Replace the stencil and stamp the small Allium head in Tenacious Teal along the bottom. Draw in stems using the same ink and a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
Add further stamping along the bottom in Morning Dew ink to create a feeling of depth.
Use the same stamp around the stencilled Allium heads using Morning Dew ink with the stencil in place. Add a few extra second generation stamped images in Aqua Fusion around the stencilling at the top.
Stamp Happy Birthday from the Art Nouveau Sentiment stamp set in Morning Dew twice in the background.
Stamp the same sentiment four times around the inked area in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Add the piece to a 7” x 7” white card blank.
By stamping in a darker and much lighter colour or by using second and third generation stamping behind a first generation image it is really easy to create an impression of depth.

A lovely card which I spotted on the show yesterday. My order was placed earlier as I love alliums & they are so versatile.
