A 25th Birthday Card

Our middle son celebrated a quarter of a century on Monday.  His card was delivered in person so it is definitely safe to share.  I used a Distress Oxide combination that I happened across by accident once, but I have used it many times since, as it makes a great background for a masculine card.
I worked on a piece of stencil card cut down to 13.5cm x 13.5cm.   I smooshed some Tea Dye and Old Paper Distress Oxides onto my blending mat, misted them with water and dragged the card over the ink.  I was careful to dry the card thoroughly between layers of ink so the layers would stand out clearly.
Some more Old Paper Oxide.
Additional Tea Dye.
Another layer of Tea Dye.
The addition of Ground Espresso Oxide to the blending mat.
Same again.
A little more Old Paper to finish.
Next, I added stamping in Ground espresso using the harlequin stamp from the journaling set (Claritystamp).  I held this in my hand to get an extra grungy effect and used both first and second impressions.
The Happy Birthday from the Art Nouveau sentiment set was added three times in Onyx Black Versafine ink.
I used one of the frames and the numbers from the Numbers stamp set by Clarity to add the age in the same ink.
I then chose two of the wee Folk and the skier from the Wee Sports set to add in Onyx Black ink.
I coloured two of the stickers from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Occasions set in Tea Dye Distress Oxide and added them to the topper.  I then went round them using a black micron pen.
To finish, the topper was matted onto black card (14cm x 14cm) and added to a 6" x 6" white card blank.

Cool card and what a milestone! Hard to believe you have a 25-year-old middle son, which suggests you also have one that's even older!
