Distress Oxide Sprays with Nested Stamps and Stencils: Art Journal Page

I couldn't resist creating an art journal page with these new stamps and stencils designed by Leonie Pujol for Claritystamp.  She will be demonstrating them on Hochanda today at 8am and 12pm along with lots of different shapes and her new sentiment stickers.

Cut a piece of stencil card to 8.5” x 8.5”. Lay the two largest nested flower scribble stencils over the top left hand side and spray Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide over the top. Lay the inky stencils face down in the bottom right corner and add Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide spray. Repeat in the top right and bottom left corners using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Spray.
Stamp the large nested flower stamp in the centre in Mermaid Lagoon Distress Archival ink and add the smaller nested flower stamp in Faded Jeans Distress Archival ink.

Add further stamping using the middle stamp in Faded Jeans in two corners. Swap to Mermaid Lagoon and rotate the page again before stamping into the third corner.

Add pictures of orange slices (magazine clippings from stash) using matte gel medium and seal whole page. Dry thoroughly.
Add shading around the clippings using Pitt Artist pens blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
Add seven of Leonie’s sentiment stickers.
To finish, add a scribbled border around each of the pictures of oranges using a white gel pen.
Even though these are good sized stencils and stamps, they can still be used for card making too, as I will show you tomorrow.  I made good use of the ink on the stencils from the first stage of this page, as well as the inky paper towel from all the spraying of Distress Oxides.
