WOYWW 517: Back in The Swing of things

That week went round quickly again.  I am back to writing my post on a Tuesday as the new term has started and I work on Wednesdays.  Only three weeks to the 10th anniversary of WOYWW.  Please visit our leader Julia over on The Stamping Ground to find out more about this long standing weekly tradition and the annual crop.
I was busy colouring some ribbon for a sample that I was working on.  The shows aren't for a couple of weeks so can't show any more than that yet.  In the background are my completed weekly art journals for 2017 and 2018.  I am way behind this year but will probably catch up over the summer holidays.
#1 son's move went well last Thursday with a few minor hitches.  He and his girlfriend are slowly getting sorted, although they had a bit of drama with the rain on Sunday.  Sorted now thank goodness.  We are invited over on Friday evening for a get together with Tina's family, who are helping them out this week, as they are heading home on Saturday.

Will be on blog tomorrow
All four of the samples which I made for Leonie's shows last Friday were shown on air.  It is the first time this has happened, so I was really chuffed.  I finally got round to blogging the piece with the shell from last week's desk share yesterday (see HERE if you are interested).

Happy WOYWW. I love ribbon coloured to match a project, although I never really used ribbon myself and sold my big box (most of which had never even been looked at - but that didn't stop me buying it!) last year. Lovely samples for Leonie's show. Ali x #12

It sure keeps you busy, this DT stuff. Great work on the TV shows, it must be quite a kick and certainly help with the investment of your time! I love what you did with the little sta and the rainbow colours...right up my street, that is!

Oh well done about the samples - I'd have been chuffed too! I like the tag very much as well, the colours are great. I'm pleased that your son's move went ok though hope the heavy rain on Sunday didn't cause too much damage.

I have always thought that the quote - if you want something doing, give it to a busy person - is a good one but it is very apt in your case. Love all the cards, and I have yet to see Leonie's show....
Have a good week

Some lovely, exciting things on show today. I did some DT work years ago and I know how exciting it is when your samples are shown on TV. You certainly deserve that pleasure. I look forward to seeing that ribbon in the next few weeks. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #5

Hi Sarah, wow! lovely samples - I'm not at all surprised you're chuffed - I would be too and I'm sure Leonie was delighted with them all. I feel like a bit of a relic these days so the last would be oh so apt for me! Looking forward to seeing you again very soon. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26

Hi Sarah, that is so cool I love that you do share these things here too because, I don't hardly ever watch tv and I think we do not get the same shows anyways. :) ~Stacy #31 PS love the color the ribbon is becoming too.

Hi there Sarah - thought I'd left a comment this a.m. but it doesn't seem to be here! Anyway, love the samples, and the ribbon is such a gorgeous shade. Thank you for your visit. It's nice to have the pantry tidy again. I didn't manage to do any more cleaning in there today because busy with other things and then too tired. Glad you like the slippers. I did a bit more this evening. We are looking forward to being able to use the loo tomorrow! I've been looking online for suitable wallpapers today, and I've got to contact the decorator. The kitties say meow back and purr-purr, and then straight back to sleep again!!

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Sarah, your samples are beautiful, congratulations for the recognition, you deserve it! The Smoosh I used came out a few years ago I guess, and looks like nail polish bottles! I haven't seen any since though. The ribbon colouring looks great, I keep forgetting I can do that! Thanks for your visit, hope your hubby's back feels better soon, have a great week! Lindart #30
