Watercolour Pens on a Variety of Surfaces to Create a Christmas Gift Tag

Once again,  I had a play with my Royal Talens Ecoline water brush pens.  This time I tried them out on several different surfaces, from stamping card to a paper towel, both directly on the paper and adding them with a water brush.  From my play, came this Christmas Gift Tag.
I started by scribbling Warm Grey and Warm Grey Light Ecoline pens onto my glass mat, misting the colour with water and laying a piece of paper towel over the top to mop up the colour.  Once dry,  the top layer was removed and added to a #8 manilla tag, sealing with matte medium, drying and trimming.
Laying the top part of the Clarity Rooftops mask along the bottom of the tag,  I added Black Ecoline ink directly onto the tag below it, then removed the mask.
I then stamped Merry Christmas (Claritystamp Mini Word Chains 13&14) in Versamark ink and heat embossed using detail black EP.
For the focal image,  I stamped the Santa on Reindeer stamp (which was the November 2018 offering from the Claritystamp monthly New Design Club) onto stamping card using Antique Linen Distress Oxide.
The image was coloured in by scribbling a variety of the Ecoline pens onto my glass mat and picking up the colours with a water brush.  This technique produces a lovely soft effect.  I went back in with a black fine line pen to emphasize some of the details.
I then very carefully fussy cut the image.
This was then added to the tag to complete the rooftop scene.
