It is rather apt that I should be sharing this tag today, as I will be heading up to Manchester (Stockport) later to meet up with some crafty friends; the bee is the symbol of Manchester. This tag is dedicated to all my crafty friends from all parts of Manchester.
I had a #8 manilla tag that I had already created a background on using three of the new Distress Oxides (see HERE).
I also had some left over rice paper that had been stamped up for another project. I had stamped directly onto the smooth side of the paper using three Ecoline pens coloured directly onto the large Chrysanthemum stamp (Claritystamp) and spritzed lightly with water. The remaining section was added to the tag, sealed with Distress Collage medium which helps the colours to blend, dried and trimmed.
Using the large Bumblebee stamp from the Collector's Edition set from IndigoBlu (No. 9) and the larger bee stamp from a free set which came with a magazine (Docraft Premium / Cardmaking & Papercraft), I stamped the images directly onto the tag using Onyx Black Versafine ink.
Next, I stamped the sentiment that also came with the magazine in the same way, but this time heat embossed using clear EP.
The same bees were also stamped onto white card and coloured in using the clear Sparkle pen and the lemon Sparkle pen (Spectrum Noir). The wings and body of each bee were fussy cut and glued over the images stamped onto the tag.
