These tags were made in response to the December tag swap on Junk Journal Junkies and Mindful Art. The theme was Fairy Tales and I decided to use some of my Sheena Douglass stamps (and a matching die) to create a pair of tags which go together.
As usual I worked on #8 manilla tags and started with a paper towel mop up sheet. The top layer was added to the tags using matt gel medium then sealed, dried and trimmed.
I then used my Royal Talens Van Gogh oil pastels to add intensity and colour to the backgrounds.
I stamped the main image from the Little Red stamp set by Sheena Douglass and also die cut, then stamped the wolf (Spirit of the Wolf/Fierce Spirit) from Sheena's Call of the Wild collection. These were coloured using Ecoline pens.
Once added to the tags, I sealed the images, dried them and used Faber-Castell Big Brush Markers to add shading around each image.
Finally, the sentiments were printed onto clear plastic tape using my Dymo Letratag and added to each tag.
