As the year draws to a close!

I decided to start thinking ahead as this year draws to a close.  I created a tag which reflects how I am feeling about 2018 at the moment.
I started by gluing and sealing a piece of deli paper, that had been used to mop up some distress sprays, onto a #8 manilla tag (Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade).  This was dried and trimmed.
A piece of the 7gypsies Numero Collage Tissue was torn and added down the right hand side.
The largest die from the 2017 Crafter's Companion Advent calendar was cut from Sheena's stamping card and split to add at the bottom and top right hand side.
The hourglass from the Timepieces stamp and die set by Sheena Douglass (Time Traveller Collection) was die cut, stamped in Archival ink and coloured using my Ecoline pens.  It was then added to the tag, the tag sealed with matt gel medium, dried thoroughly and Big Brush Markers by Faber Castell were then used to add shading and colour to areas of the tag.
Finally, the years 2017 and 2018 were printed in black onto clear plastic using my Dymo Letratag and added to the hourglass.  'Coming to an end' was printed and added in the same manner and then a suitable sentiment from the Seasonal Chit Chat sticker book by Tim Holtz was chosen to finish off the tag.  I certainly look forward to the chance to say yes to new adventures in 2018.
