This is the fourth 'Festive' journal page created for week 52 of Art Journal Prompts. As it is Christmas Eve, I felt it appropriate to create a nativity scene. Merry Christmas to all my followers and friends around the world.
I worked on a piece of mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm). The Nativity Scene dies by Tattered Lace (except the camels and Wise Men) were all used with Sheena's stamping card and the pieces glued onto the base card. This was then sealed all over with matt gel medium to provide a non porous surface and dried thoroughly with a heat gun.
The entire scene was then coloured (blended out using fingers and cotton buds) using Faber-Castell Big Brush markers. The three key words for the sentiments were stamped using various stamps from the Word Chain sets by Claritystamp in Versamark ink and heat embossed in True White detail embossing powder by Cosmic Shimmer. The end of the word wonderful was masked off while being inked up to provide 'Wonder'. Finally, the first part of each sentiment was printed using the Dymo Letratag onto clear plastic, and added in the appropriate places.
