Second Festive Art Journal Page

This is the second of my four 'Festive' pages for Art Journal Prompts for the month of December (week 50).  I only have two more pages to work on before I complete my first ever art journal, based on a weekly prompt for a whole year!
I started by die cutting a frame using two of the Sue Wilson double pierced square dies (one from set A and one from set B).  I marked the inside dimensions onto a piece of mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm), then stamped the large winter tree from the Trees and Moon set (Claritystamp) twice and the matching 'Wee Tree' (Claritystamp) three times using Coffee Archival ink.
Using a piece of torn copy paper as a mask, I brushed Tea Dye Distress ink along the ground (moving the mask down as I went).  I then went back in with a sponge to add shadows to the trees.  The sky was added with Midnight Blue mixed with Ocean Reef Artistry ink left over on my stencil brush.  I decided to take the colour out to the edges of the page.
Having added an inside frame to the 'window', I glued heavyweight acetate to the back before sticking it into place.  Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, a couple of marks appeared on the underside of the acetate in the top left pane.
The Glowing Candles from Memory Box had been die cut from Sheena's stamping card and these were coloured with Ecoline pens.  I deliberately kept the inside pieces and coloured and added them back in once the outline of the candles was in place on the page; a fiddly job, but worth it.
A couple of the Christmas Quote Chips from Tim Holtz completed the page.
