These tags were made for a tag swap with the Junk Journal Junkies and Mindful Art Facebook group. The theme was Winter and I decided to go with a pair that would end up similar but different.
I started with two #8 manilla tags and found a piece of copy paper that had been used to clean up a blending mat with a mixture of Midnight Blue and Black Shadow Artistry ink. The mat had been spritzed with water before the copy paper was laid over the ink to clean it up and this produced a fabulous ethereal effect. The copy paper was glued to the tags, sealed, dried and trimmed.
I found some black glitter card and some dark blue pearlescent card and die cut four of the Sue Wilson Winter Trees set and one of the Tiny's Pine Tree dies by Marianne from each. These were then added in similar groupings, but the opposite colour ways onto each tag.
I also die cut a small sleigh and reindeer from the same card (I'm not sure of the manufacturer of the die). Before adding these (having trimmed off the front reindeer), I masked part of the tag using the outer part of one of the moon masks from Claritystamp and blended some white gesso through the aperture to create a moon.
Before adding ribbon and fibres through the holes at the top of each tag, I stuck an appropriate sentiment on each one from the Small Talk Occasions set by Tim Holtz.
