Be Original

I'm still feeling lousy and not up to any major projects, however I didn't want to miss a blog post.  I therefore used a page background that was already created, together with some pre made bits and pieces to put together a journal page; it took all of 10 minutes, but I liked the finished look before crawling back into bed.
The background was created with Ecoline pens in shades of blue, scribbled onto my glass mat and added to the page with a water brush.  Blue sparkle pen was added around the edge in the same way; distress crayons were then rubbed in places where the colour panels join together.
Strips of a background created for a previous card (see HERE) were added in a section across the centre of the page.
I had several butterflies from the Flutterby set (designed by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous) which had been stamped in archival ink and coloured with Ecoline pens left from previous a craft session.  Three were in shades of blue and the last in pink.  I decided to add the pink butterfly to stand out from the background.
A couple of apt quotes from the Small Talk sticker book by Tim Holtz complete the page.
