This tag was created for the Heritage prompt on Tag Tuesday; a fortnightly challenge. I also used it as an opportunity to use a new die and stencil that I recently acquired. I had real fun adding layers and using a muted brown/black/copper palette. It seems apt to post this on St George's Day as that is part of our heritage too.
Layer One: Distress Oxides in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain blended over a #8 Manilla tag, spritzed, dragged through wet ink, dried and repeated.
Layer Two: The large ledger stamp from the Ledger Script set designed by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous stamped over the whole tag using Tree Branch Archival ink.
Layer three: The date stamp ledger from the Documented set (TH/SA) and the faded dots stamp from the Slight Alterations set (SA/TH) stamped in Jet Black Archival ink and the double coffee ring added with Coffee archival ink through the mini layering stencil (Splatters THMS009).
Layer Four: Dreamweaver Copper texture paste through the Nostalgic Words stencil from the Remember When collection by Sheena Douglass.
Layer Five: Using 'Stick It' on both sides of a piece of brown card, die cut the Make Time die from the Time Traveller collection by Sheena Douglass, add it to the top right hand side of the tag, trim off the excess and add the remaining piece to the bottom of the tag (leaving the top layer of backing paper in place).
Layer Six: Remove the wax paper from the bottom section and coat with Copper Pure Sheen Nuvo Glitter (by Tonic Studios), removing the excess. Then remove the wax paper from the top die section, add Sunset Gilding Flakes (My Craft Studio) and remove the excess.
Finally blend a little Vintage Photo and Black Soot distress inks around the edges of the tag to add interest and 'grunge'.
