Stamping - Collage - Green

This page was created in response to the second Explore your Creativity challenge on Junk Journal Junkies and Mindful Art.  The colour had to be predominantly green and stamping and collage had to be part of the process.  I had fun working within these constraints and the quote chips used as the finishing touch describe both the process, and the lack of planning that went into this page.  As the colour is green, I am also entering this into the fortnightly That's Crafty Challenge 'Green with Envy'.
I started by scribbling all four colours of green from the large Ecoline pen set onto acrylic blocks and adding them directly onto the page of my 8" x 8" spiral bound journal.  I then added Emerald Green Sparkle pen (Spectrum Noir) in the same way all around the edge and up the centre echoing the contour lines of the other sections of green.
Once dry, I used some of the stamps from the Claritystamp Journaling set and stamped the script and harlequin stamps (held in my hand rather than on an acrylic block) randomly over the background using Vivid Chartreuse Archival ink.  The coffee cup stain was added in Sap Green Archival ink and the dotted lines in Leaf Green Archival ink following the contour lines up the centre of the page.
I die cut the ink splat and the long scribble from the Tim Holtz scribble shapes die set (Sizzix 660222) out of white card and coloured them using the Holly Leaf and Spruce Sparkle pens.  I also stamped the Pencils stamp by Darkroom Door onto a separate piece of white card (Leaf Green), cut out three of the pencils and added some of the Sparkle pens to make them pop.  These were all glued down on the page to provide the collage element of the challenge.
Finally, the two Quote Chips (Tim Holtz) were coloured using the Ecoline and Sparkle pens and added to the page.  I loved the effect of the background so much, that I created another background in a similar manner in blue.  This time I also blended some Distress Crayons along the contours.
