WOYWW 535: Hi Ho, Hi Ho...

Well the last week of the holidays flew by and Monday saw me back into work for an INSET day.  Today the pupils are back for their first day of the new school year, so I wrote this post yesterday afternoon so it would be ready for sharing before work.  I didn't want to miss out on What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW).  Please pop over to Julia's place at The Stamping Ground to find out more and find lots more desks to ogle.
I must admit that my desk is staged.  I was so engrossed in recreating the card on the right hand side that I totally forgot to get any action shots.  It was one I made as a sample for a Clarity show in early August (see HERE for step by step) but I liked it so much I decided to make another.
It hasn't been all school work in the last week.  I made time last Thursday for a crafty get together with Eva when I made this journal page.  I totally forgot to get a shot of the other side of the desk though, sorry.  We will only have one day a fortnight that we can get together this school year due to clashing timetables, but I will try and remember to get desk shots every other Tuesday for sharing.  And to finish...

the latest shed update.  As you can see, the undercoat is nearly finished so I am hoping it will start getting its blue coat by next week (#3 son permitting lol).  Happy WOYWW everyone.

Morning., back to work for me too but it was only a day off I had (neighbour's funeral) and I did nothing useful when i got back from it... Hope today goes ok and there are no first day dramas - from pupils or staff!! Helen #1

Oh, I almost feel the dread I used to get when it was back to school time. And the kids think they are the only ones feeling it!
I like your journal page - that purple really pops against the lime greeney kind of colour.
Have a good start to the term, bless all those little newbies in year 7 with their shiny new shoes and too big blazers.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

The summer holidays flew by so fast! It was just the other day we were revelling at the prospect of having 6 weeks off! (Not that I was off work the full six weeks, but when my son is off school, it's like a holiday for me too!) The shed is already looking transformed with the base coat and its lifespan will be extended considerably. I think ours will need another coat as well before winter. Loving the page and the inspiration behind it. Happy WOYWW - bring on half term! zsuzsa #18

Well I think no 3 son Deserves half a medal already...that’s real progress! I like the card you were reproducing too, and I love that absorption, so nice to be lost in something like that! That mountain on my LO... the drive is just fifty yards of slope, the walk up from the beach was about 3 kilometres and we were staying in the area where I photographed the drive ! Hill, the literature called it!!!

Hi Sarah, hope that first day of school is going well and your shed is finished being painted before the rainy season starts. ( we are expecting thunder showers tomorrow is the only reason I thought of it, and and I have the idea that you get more rain than we do here on your side of the pond) ~Stacy #24

Hi Sarah, that's a great card. I really like the layout you used. I keep looking at your shed as I'm thinking of getting one myself but can't decide on the size but need enough room for shelving and tables. Started looking for one but there is so much to consider. Anyway will have to think about it. Have a lovely woyww and a happy creative week, Angela x11x

The back to school week is now fine, which is nice, I must say .. I always thought it was good to get through first week when teaching, laying all ground rules fir the term. Some lovely stares, love the green and parple card to quote Master four, he loves parple, it’s his fav colour! The inky desk appeals too, love those shall mini archival, I’ve four of them, and love them all.
Glad you had catch up with Eva. I’m guessing blue tarp is to put over painted section when it’s raining?

Welcome back to school, Sarah! I just retired from the education world after 30 years, so that I can focus on my last year as a Seminarian. I love the background you created with the various patterned stamps for your gorgeous card. The color scheme is fabulous too, and makes the silhouettes and text pop beautifully. Happy belated WOYWW!

Interesting looking projects this week Sarah, and your shed exterior is coming along nicely, isn't it! Thank you for your visit, and I must apologise for the muddle - I have just realised that I never actually published the WOYWW post on Wednesday. It was sitting there in draft form only. I've just uploaded it now, but it's out of sync with yesterday's post. I've had a pretty awful week because I had my PIP assessment yesterday which really stressed me out, which is why I forgot to post my WOYWW post. Thank you for commenting on my Tuesday foodie one anyway!

Happy belated WOYWW,
