Mini Stencil and the Waimea Falls Designer Card

The new paper pads and 7" x 5" card sets designed by Barbara Gray are so beautiful.  They need very little adding to turn into a card.  I worked with one of the Waimea Falls designs for this piece.

Line up the two tree mini panoramic stencil with the top and sides of a piece of 5” x 7” Waimea Falls designer card and attach the stencil at the top with a piece of masking tape to create a hinge.
Brush Black Shadow Artistry ink through the aperture using a small Clarity stencil brush, then use a Spot On Sponge to drag the excess colour off the stencil into the aperture to intensify the colour.
Lift the stencil and add the mask surround from one of the mini moons into place. Replace the stencil and pounce yellow acrylic paint through the stencil and the moon aperture.
Remove the mask and the stencil.
Using the fourth and fifth smallest nested square picot dies, cut a frame from black card.
Glue the frame onto the designer card ensuring an even border all around the stencilled image.
Using the smallest of the Victorian Plaque dies, cut an aperture below the framed image centrally at the bottom of the designer card.
Trim a little off the top and bottom of the designer card. Add to the front of a 7” x 7” black card blank near the fold and trim off the excess on the right hand side.
Use the Love and Best Wishes die from the Floral Frame set to cut Love from the plaque cut from the designer card in the previous step. To finish, trim off the excess letters to leave the word Love and add it to the card inside the plaque shaped aperture.

Thanks for sharing how you did this card. I have the stencils coming but had wondered whether I needed the dies as well. We will see !!
