Cameo Floral Numbers: 40th Birthday Card

I decided to turn the Clarity floral number stamps into cameos against a grungy background for this 40th birthday card.

Stamp the 4 and 0 onto separate pieces of Clarity stencil card in Versamark ink and heat emboss in Super Fine gold powder.

Using the fourth smallest nested oval picot die cut out the numbers.

Make a mat for each number out of black card using the next largest size of oval picot die.

Colour the floral numbers using Distress markers (Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Victorian Velvet and Worn Lipstick) and a water brush.

Mat the numbers onto the black ovals to create the cameos.

Add ‘th’ to the 0 in Versamark ink, heat embossing the same way as before. Colour it in using the Wild Honey Distress marker directly onto the cameo.

Stamp and heat emboss Happy and Birthday directly onto the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank and colour in using the Wild Honey Distress marker.

Add Peeled Paint Distress Oxide to a blending mat, mist with water and drag the card front through the ink. Dry thoroughly.

Repeat using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide.

To finish, add the number cameos to the front of the card.
