Art Journaling With A Tissue Paper Background

I can never resist using a magazine clipping on an art journal page.  This time I worked with some of the background stamps from the Funky Hare stamp set.
Cut a piece of Clarity stencil card to 8.5” x 8.5”. Tear non colour-fast tissue paper in two shades of green, yellow and blue into small pieces (approx. 1” x 1”).
Give the card a light mist with water and lay the tissue paper over the surface rough side down. When the card is covered, add further water until the tissue paper is saturated.
Dry with a heat gun until the tissue paper comes away from the card. Dry the card thoroughly, front and back.
Stamp the pine cones six times onto kraft card in Acorn archival ink. Stamp four acorns in the same manner.
Fussy cut the images.
Triple heat emboss the top of the acorns using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder.
Stamp the large frond stamp 3 times along the bottom of the page in Versamark ink and heat emboss with detail copper embossing powder.
Colour in the fronds using a Sakura metallic pen (copper).
Add the pine cones along the bottom of the page and trim off the excess.
Add three of the acorns so they look as if they are growing out of the fronds.
Seal the page with matt medium and add a magazine clipping as a title. Dry thoroughly.
To finish, add highlights/shading with Faber-Castell Pitt Artist pens blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nib.
