WOYWW 529: Summer is Here

Morning.  How lovely to have time to write a post on the correct day to share with everyone at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW).  Even the photos were taken for once on the day itself rather than being prepared the day before.
This was my desk first thing this morning.  Even though I have no more marking to do until September I still habitually tidy my desk at the end of each day.
My brother has asked me to make a logo for his local orchestra in Canada (he is the musical director).  As they are based in the Rockies, I have taken out some masks as a starting point.  He will add the wording over the image so I am going to play around with some ideas to send him today.
The other side of the desk is ready for Eva's arrival.  We are getting together today to craft.  She has to pick up her gel press petites and her brayer which I borrowed for a class.  I am later than normal joining in because I have been enjoying a lie in each morning now the summer holidays are here.  It was rather too warm in the shed yesterday, but by keeping the doors open and the blinds down I managed to keep the temperature below 29 degrees C!  Hope to see you over on the Stamping Ground so I can come and visit.

PS.  The gift on my desk last week was a hand knitted dish cloth.  I shall be using it to keep my glass mat clean once the tea towel that I am currently using gives up the ghost.

It is great to hear that you’re enjoying a relative lie in...slowing down a bit will do you good. Love love love the shot of your tidy and clean desk, it sets a fine example...I may have to do a WOYWW follow up post later to prove that’s I do clean and tidy occasionally!! It will be lovely to have a relatively deadline free day with Eva, net you get out to all sorts. And may I just say that they may well be the poshest she’d chairs ever!!

What a privilege to be asked to design the logo, Sarah! It already looks really exciting, and I do hope you will show us progress/final results photos. I love the chairs in the background in your photo - such a beautiful design! Have fun with Eva.

Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing our wacky new loo! So glad to hear you've got a new grandkitty. Please share some photos. Lily and Ruby say meow to her and welcome to Sarah's world!! Ruby is being especially affectionate with me at the moment and coming for cuddles, which is great.

Happy WOYWW,

I just always tidy my desk after a project. I have been doing that for several years and find I don't lose things as easily!

What a honour being asked to design the log for the orchestra - hope you show us the finished article, complete with words, when finished. Am sure bro will send you a photo of it when he has added his words.
Enjoy your day with Eve and enjoy your time in Stockport. Give my love to Paul, i am missing him but can't manage time together at the moment, if he is there.

Hi Sarah, goodness me that is a tidy desk! I don't think I have ever seen yours without something going on! Enjoy your crafty day with Eva, and I hope the temperature stays comfortable in your shed. I laughed at Julia's comment about the posh chairs. She is correct though! Lol. Have a lovely week Heather xx #9

I wish I could take a leaf out of your book Sarah but i'm defiant and messy not having a room of my own to create.. i'm very envious of your she shed.
Those petites are smashing, I find mine very useful, hope we get to see the logo you are working on soon. Enjoy those lie in's in the weeks to come, i'm sure your head is buzzing with creative ideas to play around with.
Happy WoywW & sorry i'm late to visit, it's just been way to hot to sit with the laptop. HUgs Tracey #8

Mm, tidy and organised, oh that so,e rub off on me, Sarah, looks like some good ideas with your brothers logo you’ll have share when it’s finalised! Thanks for a pop up comment box. Even in another web browser I’m having trouble with those embedded ones, as I said to myself on last comment it’s akmist enough to make me give up blogging! Well not really but is really discouraging.
Thanks for popping over and being a blessing, and may God bless you too.
