WOYWW 528: Last Work Day!

Happy WOYWW to you all. This will be my last work day for the academic year 2018-19, so I am done after today until September.  Apart from all the work needed to get ready to hit the ground running when we go back of course.  The last sets of books were marked this morning and the assembly is ready to go, following up on the trip to Berlin.  I will finally stop having to cheat for a while, taking a photo of my desk on a Tuesday afternoon so I can join in with Julia over at the Stamping Ground.
My desk this week shows the ATC and gift that I received from Bridget for the 10th anniversary.  She has been poorly so the package was delayed.  As it also had to make its way from Australia it was a lovely surprise in the mail on Monday.  I do hope you are fully recovered!   I also still hope that my tag eventually made it to Bleubeard and Elizabeth but I will be posting a second one tomorrow if it hasn't.  This time I will keep proof of posting!
On the other side of the desk, Eva finally made it over for some crafting.  We had watched some YouTube videos made by Sam Crowe for Claritystamp and Eva has been trying out some of her techniques.  These are the results of two days in the shed and some work in between at home.  Aren't they fabulous.

What was the gift from Bridget? Nosy me wanting to know. Doesn't matter really but when you have more time next week you might mention it on your post.
I remember that wonderful end of term feeling when all the marking was done and put away and I eagerly awaited my new timetable for the coming year. Tomorrow you must stay in bed even fi only for an extra five minutes - just because you can.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
Yes, lovely work from the other side of the desk - lots too.

I am enjoying my week off, and already know I won't want to go back, so can only imagine what it would be like after 6 weeks... love the atc from Sandra, and your and Eva's craft sessions looks to have been very productive. Helen #6

Just hopped over to watch the video, Sarah. What a brilliant technique! I love Eva’s results, too. That looks really fun, and a great way to make embellishments to cut out and apply to projects, too.

Glad term has come to an end and you can start to enjoy the summer now! I expect you are worn out after all the marking, and the Berlin trip too.

Happy WOYWW,

I love youtube videos for crafting and watch it often. I actually have a few on there showcasing my mini albums I made and some card folios I make. I don't give instruction but just do a walk through of what is involved. Give the videos a try you will be amazed at what you can learn!

Tell Eva Her pieces are fantastic & having watched Barbara's craftalong & Sam's You Tube videos it got me playing as well. Mine are still WIP but will try not to leave them as UFO's. Enjoy your break & hopefully you will get lots of opportunity to visit the Craft Shed.

Enjoy your summer break, Sarah - my son can't wait for this school year to be over. I kept telling him "last Monday of Y9" "last Tuesday of Y9" etc just to get him out of bed in the morning LOL. When I was growing up in Europe, we always had the whole summer off - starting the first week of June! Mind you, we didn't have half terms. I don't know which one is better, really. Lovely ATC all the way from Australia and Eva is really in her element with that colourful project! zsuzsa #23

Relief to get to the end of term, but somehow I don’t expect you’ll be less busy! Still, at least you’ll be able to craft at leisure, apart from your deadline commitments for DT. Love the look of the things that Eva’s been doing...I didn’t need telling it was Clarity based, those mixed font words are so widely used it’s like a trademark! I’m going to go ahead and assume that Eva’s glass is water, just because it was a school night.....but really, if you tell me it was a G and T I’ll do a big hurrah and hope you had one too....you deserve it, the last few weeks ha e been manic for you!

Hi Sarah

Enjoy your well earned time off. Hope the weather stays lovely for you. Eva's work definitely is fabulous - I think I may need to watch some crafty YouTube videos like Claire. I still haven't used all the stencils I bought at Port Sunlight yet! Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #11

Gorgeous techniques that you've both done. I can imagine you are looking forward to the holidays. It sounded like the school near us must have been having their Sports Day today but I know from experience that you will have work to do before the new term. Wishing you a happy creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x13x

It seems so late for schools to be breaking up down there when ours broke up weeks ago. The ATC is lovely. I wish Bridget a speedy recovery. Sorry to hear post has gone missing - so disappointing when that happens. Good to see Eva has managed to join you again. Enjoy the start to the long summer break. Elizabeth x #24

Looks like Eva is getting lots accomplished on her side of the desk. I, too, enjoy watching YouTube. I make my FB Live videos into a YouTube format and share them.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

I still remember that feeling too, try not to think of what's needed to be done for September and enjoy the next few weeks free of anything but crafty things.
Nice surprise, I love happy mail & those Clarity cards are super Sarah.
Enjoy those coming weeks & Happy WoywW Tracey #8

Congratulations on another year of teaching! I do remember that last day too when I was teaching, what a weight off for a few months! Enjoy! Eva's side looks very interesting! Will she be cutting the shapes out, or are they complete on one card? Anyway, thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #31

I love all the patterns on your desk, and having holiday must give you relaxation so you can create 'stress-free' and take your time. Thanks for your visit earlier, I am again a bit late with my visit this week but hey, at least it IS still in this week ;) Hope you have a lovely weekend, hug from Holland. Marit #20

Thanks for your visit, Sarah, and so glad you liked my watercolour doodling experiments and the videos. Do give it a try! I haven't had a chance to do any more since - too busy with cooking, going out and other activities and then being too tired. We've got the decorators in at the moment too, dong the downstairs loo so it's all go chez Shosh. Hoping to hear back from the GP this week about my headache meds but since I spoke to the pharmacist I haven't had a hum-dinger - just a couple of mild ones that the OTC med dealt with OK.

The kitties say Meow back, and are happy that you follow their activities!
