Escape into a Movie: Journal Tag

The current challenge on Tag Tuesday is 'A Night at the Movies'.  This was my response.
I started with my usual method for a quick background, gluing the top layer of a paper towel mop up sheet onto a #8 manilla tag; sealing it with matte gel medium, drying and trimming.
I had a pack of MDF film strips (from Crafty Individuals) that I wanted to make use of.  I painted one of them with black gesso and once dry, drew round the apertures with a pencil.  Unfortunately the gesso wasn't quite dry at the bottom as you will see.  I then stamped one of the teeny weenie hares from the Toadstool outline set into each pencilled rectangle, moving the stamp a little further forward each time so that it gives the impression of movement.  The hares were stamped in Onyx Black Versafine ink and heat embossed in detail clear EP.
Once I had erased the pencil marks as best as I could, the MDF film strip was glued into place.
I then added another one of the hares from the Toadstool Outline set at the bottom, using the same method as before.
To finish, I used the Letterbox Alphabet from Claritystamp and Onyx Black Versafine ink to stamp 'Escape' and 'Movie'.  The 'into a' stickers are from the Chit Chat sticker book by Tim Holtz idea-ology.
