Thrinchies and Inchies = Art Journal Page

The May prompt on Nina Ribena's Art Journal Prompts and More was Trade It.  For the fourth week, she specified inchies (1" x 1"), twinchies (2" x 2") and thrinchies (3" x 3") as the sub prompt.  As I am turning all the prompts into weekly art journal pages, this was my response.  As you will see, I turned two thrinchies and three inchies into dice to fit the quote that I chose.
I started by going over a piece of mixed media card (18.5cm x 19.5cm) in black gesso.  I then stamped various elements from the Pub Games stamp set (Dimension Fourth, sadly no longer in business) over the background using Versamark ink.  The dice were heat embossed with detail white EP, the hearts and diamonds in metallic red EP and the clubs and spades in detail silver EP.
I cut two thrinchies and three inchies from mixed media card, embossed them using embossing folders, then added Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding polish over the top.

I edged all of the elements in black archival ink, swiped a little over the smaller elements and glued them together to look like two sides of a die.

These were added to the background in opposite corners.
The key words of the sentiment, 'Life', 'gamble', 'roll' and 'dice' were added using the Word Chain Alphabet by Claritystamp (Versamark / detail white EP).
To finish, the rest of the quote was printed using my Dymo Letratag, trimmed and the words added in the appropriate places.
