What a Great Afternoon: Create It Hanger 42.

I got home from work on Friday to find that I had won a pair of tickets to the Create It event the following day at Hanger 42 in Lutterworth.  As yesterday was also my wedding anniversary, I took my husband of 28 years with me.  I don't think it would have been his first choice of ways to spend the afternoon, but he made the 150 mile round trip with me and we had a great time, thanks to the generosity of Kay and Alfie of IndigoBlu.  I got up early and made a small token of my appreciation to take with us.
I started by adding the top layer of a paper towel mop up sheet onto a #8 manilla tag.  This one was the result of a previous project using the bleeding tissue paper method (see HERE).
I then stamped the Bubbles background stamp from IndigoBlu in Red Carnation Archival ink using a stamp platform to get a clear impression on the textured background.
Next I added the Numbers stamp (Collectors Edition #3 IndigoBlu) three times in Sepia Archival ink in the same way.
One of the Large Industrial Lamps (designed by Limor Webber for IndigoBlu) was then heat embossed over the top (Versamark ink and detail black EP).  I made sure that I used an anti static pad over the tag first.

To add to the grungy mood, Indian Red oil pastel (Royal Talens Van Gogh) was blended around the edges of the tag with my fingers.
To finish, a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Occasions book and two from the original Small Talk book were added.  They express my gratitude for my husband as well as for the generosity of IndigoBlu.  I couldn't let the afternoon go by without adding to my IndigoBlu stamp collection as well as one or two other items.  My husband gave me some extra money to spend instead of flowers; he knows me so well.
My haul from the show
I caught up with Kay

Chatted with Bev (another JJAMMMA llama)
Matt from Hochanda was also kind enough to pose with me.
My husband stayed behind the camera.  Thanks all of you for a great anniversary.
