Hand Made Embellishments on a Card

Having used some of my hand made embellishments on a tag,  I decided to see how I could use them on a card.  This is the result...
I started by making feather embellishments with my new Tim Holtz Bigz die and matching embossing folder, as well as using a butterfly and some leaves that I had already created (see HERE for details).  In the end, I decided not to use the leaves on this card, but have them to use on another project.
I was working on a 7" x  5" pre made card blank, so cut a piece of Sheena's stamping card down to 17cm x 11.6cm to work on, as well as a mat from black card (17.5cm x 12.2cm).  The stamping card was covered with Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide, then Shaded Lilac blended over the whole page.  A spritz of water and the topper was dried.
I then stamped all over the topper using the peacock feather stamps from Linda's Peacock Duet by Claritystamp.  I used a mixture of  Forget-Me-Not and Majestic Violet mini archival inks.
To finish the background, I added the three small feathers from the same stamp set as before, but this time stamped multiple times in Versamark ink and heat embossed in detail silver EP.
Once matted and layered onto the base card, the colour really pops.
The feather embellishments were added to the front of the card, glued along the middle with the edges raised for a 3D effect.  The 'with love' line sentiment (from set 1; Claritystamp) was added to an off-cut of black card (12.2cm x 3.4cm) in the same manner as the small feathers and glued across the front of the card.
Before adding the butterfly embellishment, I made antennae for it out of silver wire.
