Pink and Purple Tag

This time, rather than use a ready made mop up sheet, I decided to create a background specifically for the tag.  This is my third DT piece for the Royal Talens shows with Lou Withers which were on Hochanda yesterday and Tuesday.

I scribbled pink and purple Ecoline pens onto my glass mat, spritzed with water and mopped up the colour with a piece of paper towel.  Once dry, the towel was split into layers and the top one added to a #8 manilla tag using matt gel medium; sealed, dried and trimmed.

Coordinating colours from the Van Gogh Oil Pastels set were blended over the background to add intensity of colour.

Some strips of card, created in a similar manner as for my first DT piece (see HERE) in shades of purple were added to the tag.

Finally a butterfly from the Flutterby stamp set by Tim Holtz, die cut with the coordinating Sizzix die, was coloured with Ecoline pens and added to the tag as well as one of the Small Talk stickers.  A vibrant tag; I find the oil pastels are so easy to blend over the dry matt medium.
