In another experiment, I used the Ecoline pens to colour stamps instead of ink to create the background on this tag.
Working on a #8 manilla tag, I used the Tim Holtz stamp platform to ensure that I could add one colour to each stamp at a time. Once I had decided on the layout of the words - which are all from the original Claritystamp word chains (sets 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8) - I used all the blue Ecoline pens, two of the green plus Chartreuse to colour individual letters of each word and covered the background, one word at a time.
I then spritzed the tag lightly with water, allowed the colours to run, then dried the tag with my heat gun.
One of the Ledger Script stamps (designed by Tim Holtz for Stamper's Anonymous) was then stamped in Cobalt Blue Archival ink all over the tag.
A quote chip (Tim Holtz) was coloured and edged using the same colours of Ecoline pen and added towards the bottom.
Finally, a butterfly from the Ephemera set by Tim Holtz was trimmed to remove the white edges, before being added as a final detail above the quote chip.
