I didn't have a great deal of time for crafting yesterday, so decided to work on a quick tag. I will be entering it in the 'Anything Goes' challenge on Tag Tuesday.
I started with the top layer of the paper towel that I had used to clean my stamps off when making my ATC the previous day (see HERE). The top left of the tag was rather bare, so I added the circles which had been trimmed off the right hand edge of the tag over the top. The whole piece was sealed with Distress Collage Medium and dried thoroughly.
One of the Christmas Paper Doll pieces by Tim Holtz provided a quick focal point. Once sealed and dried, Light Green and Cobalt Green Big Brush markers (Faber-Castell) were used to add shading all round and along the bottom of the tag to provide them something to stand on. Two sentiments from the Small Talk sticker book by Tim Holtz were added (the top one cut into two to provide balance), sealed and dried to provide a non-porous background. Finally, the sentiment blocks were given shading to match the characters, and the Turquoise Blue Van Gogh oil pastel added depth of colour around some of the edges of the tag.
