ATC Challenge: Circles, Beginnings.

An additional mid monthly challenge has been added into Tag It Tuesday this year.  You have to create an ATC or altered card instead of a tag, but still using at least two of the four monthly prompts.  The four prompts for January are Circles; Add fabric; Beginnings; Drips.  I chose circles and a quote about beginnings as my prompts.  I attempted to add drips with the Distress Oxides, but didn't like the effect, so went back over the background to try and hide them.
Using an ATC sized piece of mixed media card (2.5" x 3.5") I blended Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides all over the background, gave the card a light spritz of water and dried it with my heat tool.
I then used some of the smallest and medium sized stamps from the Limor Circles set by IndigoBlu and added them using a range of Archival inks (Cobalt, Manganese Blue, Paradise Teal, Garden Patina and Leaf Green).
It was after this step that I decided to spritz the background again and allow the Oxides to drip.  It really looked messy, so I had to blend further colour over the top to try and rescue the background.  As you can see, it would have been better had I just left the background as it was in the first place, although it was better than the 'drippy' version.
The quote; 'Every end is a new beginning' was added around the largest circle to give the quote a literal twist.  For this I used a Sakura 05 black micron pen.  I like the contrast to the tag that I created with the same prompts (see HERE), although I still used blues and greens.
