Tartan Framed Tree

I used the Clarity vertical striped box frame stencil to create a tartan look frame for this autumn tree.
Attach the vertical striped box frame stencil to a piece of Clarity stencil card using masking tape to create a hinge at the top with the lines vertical to the card.
Add the square into the centre as a mask and blend Festive Berries and Fossilized Amber Oxides through the apertures using finger daubers.
Remove and clean the stencil. Reattach it with the lines horizontal this time.
Create a tartan effect by adding colour to every other line using the same-coloured Oxides.
Clean and replace the stencil. Mask off around the centre opening.
Add one of the mini moon masks and the hills & mountains mask and brush Fall Fiesta, Cranberry Crush and Haystack Artistry inks across the sky with Clarity stencil brushes. Remove the masks.
Mask the sky and add Cinnamon Tea and Rich Mocha inks to the ground in the same way.
Add one of the trees from the Trees and their Mantles stamp set in Ground Espresso Archival ink.
Add the mantle in Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and the grass along the bottom in the same ink. Remove the stencil.
Die cut the frame using the 5.5” nested squares die and a mat from black card using the corresponding nested squares picot die.
Mat up the topper and add it to the front of a 6” x 6” white card blank.
To finish, add one of Leonie’s Words stickers cut into two.
