This has got to be one of my favourite Maya Angelou quotes, so I am glad it was chosen for one of the new poetry frame stamp sets from Claritystamp.
Trim a piece of Clarity stencil card to 6.75” x 6.75”. Stamp the frame from the People will forget poetry set in the top left corner in Red Geranium Archival ink.
Stamp the frame for a second time in the bottom right hand corner in Fern Green Archival ink.
Stamp the frame in Buttercup archival ink in the centre of the card.
Add part of the frame in the bottom left hand corner in Tiger Lily archival ink.
Add part of the frame in the top right hand corner in Manganese Blue archival ink.
Mask off part of the verse when inking up. Add the first two lines into the red frame in Cobalt Blue archival ink. Repeat for the next two lines in the top right corner.
Add the next two lines into the bottom corner, this time in Violet archival ink. Finally, add the last two lines and attribution in the bottom right corner, also in Violet archival ink.
Colour in the frames with Derwent Inktense pencils, blended out with a watercolour brush pen.
To finish, add to the front of a 7” x 7” black card blank.
