Quarantine Quickies #31 & #32: Cards on the Table / Monkey Business

For my latest interpretations of the Quarantine Quickie prompts over on Mission Inspiration I decided to use a similar colour scheme and the same process on both tags.

Cover a #8 manilla tag with the top layer of a paper towel mop up sheet, seal with matte medium, dry and trim the excess.

Add stamping to the background using the solid diamond from Sam’s Shapes 1 in different shades of green archival inks.

Stamp part of the Playing Cards texture mat from Caroline’s Rubber Stamps onto a piece of Clarity stencil card in Onyx Black Versafine ink.

Fussy cut all of the clubs and spades.

Repeat, but this time ink up in Red Pepper Adirondack ink and fussy cut the hearts and diamonds.

Add the cards to the tag.

Add shading round the cards with a Payne’s grey Derwent Inktense pencil, blended out with a watercolour brush pen.

To finish, add the prompt in Onyx Black Versafine ink using the Tall Letterbox Infill Alphabet from Clarity.

Stamp NDC #138 in Onyx Black Versafine ink onto a scrap of Clarity stencil card twice and fussy cut the images.

Add shading to the faces in shades of grey Derwent Inktense pencils, blended out with a watercolour brush pen.

Add the chimps/monkeys to the tag.

Add shading round the images with a Payne’s grey Derwent Inktense pencil, blended out with a watercolour brush pen.

To finish, add the prompt in Onyx Black Versafine ink using the Tall Letterbox Infill Alphabet from Clarity.
