I am ready to share my interpretation of prompts 27 and 28 of the Quarantine Quickies over on Mission Inspiration. As usual, I have used Clarity stamps and masks to complete each tag. For once, I used pieces of the same sheet of inky copy paper as the background for both tags.
Cover a #8 manilla tag with a piece of inky copy paper. Trim the excess.
Using the clouds mask from Clarity, brush Midnight Blue and Moon Crater Artistry ink upwards off the mask. Flip the mask to the other edge, move the mask down the page and brush more ink upwards. Repeat until the tag is covered with clouds. Using the Tall Letterbox Alphabet and Numbers Outline stamps, add 3.14 (Pi) into the sky in Cobalt Blue Archival ink. Repeat multiple times. Use the matching Alphabet and Numbers Infill stamps to add Peat Moss Archival ink to each Pi. To finish, hand write the prompt using a black micron pen. I don't have an actual pie stamp, so went with the pun instead. For the second tag I used my latest (considered) purchase, a full set of 72 Derwent Inktense pencils. I am really enjoying using them. Cover a #8 manilla tag with a piece of inky copy paper. Seal with matte medium to create a non-porous surface, dry and trim the excess. Stamp the second ‘Twas the Night’ stamp from Clarity onto stencil card twice in Onyx Black Versafine ink. Colour the stockings using Derwent Inktense pencils and blend out with a watercolour brush pen. Fussy cut the stockings. Stamp Elvis the Elf onto a second piece of stencil card in the same ink. Colour in the same manner. Fussy cut him out. Add Elvis to the tag. Add the stockings along the top of the tag. Draw a line for them to hang on using a black micron pen. Add shading round the images using a Faber-Castell big brush marker blended out with a Pergamano blending pen and nib. To finish, hand write the prompt using a black micron pen.
